Atomic Snow #10: Re: Fulfilling the Urge to Explore
Humans have always been drawn to travel and explore the world beyond. In the unknown, we discover lands that are not our own and have found satisfaction to our curiosity. By its very nature, travel brings us out from our comfort zones.
Going to different places makes us appreciate how small our corner of the world is and how much more the world has to offer us. I always find myself having to adapt to new surroundings, figuring out the means of getting around, trying to speak the language, getting help from strangers, and testing the local cuisine to see if it matches my palate. In such a process, I always do find some odd curiosities and delicacies that stay with me when I return.
While travelling in time is yet to be realized, travelling in space, at least, across the planet is more than accessible. I invite you to give into that instinct for travel and go out explore the unknown. You may find some relief to your mental state, a boost to your creativity or simply something new that you will come to like.
“We are not creatures of destinations. It is the journey that shapes us. Our callused feet, our backs strong from carrying the weight of our travels, our eyes open with the fresh delight of experiences lived.”
The memories always seem to make it all worth it. And in the end, it does get us to reset our cycle and break our day-to-day routine.
As the song goes:
Idhar-udhar aur yahaan-vahaan, (Here-there and all-around,)
jaaen vaheen dil kahe jahaan (I'll go where my heart tells me)
Until the next owl delivery,
Yours always,

P.P.S. check out the Gotala Dosa, a fusion of the north and the south, the dosa features an entire curry with paneer, cheese and butter made on it.
